Summer is here, so let's bring on the fun! We wanted to give you some suggestions that are BXS approved and that the whole family will enjoy.
Picnic in the Park: Pack a delicious lunch, grab a blanket, and head to a local park for a picnic. Enjoy outdoor games, fly kites, or simply relax and enjoy the sunshine!
Visit a Museum or Science Center: If your kids are into interactive exhibits and activities I would recommend an interactive science museum. My sister and her kids visited the Powerhouse Science Center in Colorado and had the best time!
Outdoor Movie Night: Set up a backyard movie night with a projector and a white sheet or screen. Pick out a movie, bring out some blankets and popcorn, and enjoy a cozy evening under the stars. We have a blow up TV and projector we use to watch movies or even sports events in the front yard! I've linked a similar option here.
Outdoor Water Play: Set up a sprinkler in the backyard or visit a local splash pad in your area. We have a bounce house with a water slide feature from Costco that the kids have been absolutely obsessed with lately! I've linked a similar option here.
Mini Golf: Challenge each other to a game of miniature golf. It's a fun and interactive activity that the whole family can enjoy, regardless of skill level.
Visit a Farmers Market: Take a trip to a local farmers market and explore the variety of fresh produce, baked goods, and handmade crafts. Let the kids choose some fruits or veggies to bring home and have a cooking session later!
Outdoor Sports: Get outside and play some sports like soccer, basketball, tennis, or pickle ball! Set up a friendly match between parents and kids or divide into teams for a mini-tournament. It's a great way to get active and have fun at the same time!
Visit a Local Farm or Zoo: Take a trip to a local farm or zoo so the kids can learn and interact with different wildlife. Our kids loved feeding the animals!
